Catherine Cranford grew up in Newnan, Georgia before attending the University of Georgia to major in Journalism and minor in French. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine School of Law. Catherine graduated cum laude in 2017, also receiving a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution.

While in law school, Catherine received a CALI Award for the highest grade in her classes on Media & the Law and Trademarks, Unfair Competition & Unfair Practices. She also completed an externship in the Central District of California, drafting opinions on a variety of motions being heard in civil cases filed in federal court.

Catherine has represented a range of clients from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, doing general business litigation involving a litany of contract disputes, product liability, mass tort, premises liability, and toxic tort matters. Using the skills she honed in the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Catherine has negotiated settlements well below the plaintiffs’ initial demand on behalf of her clients. Catherine also fiercely advocates for her clients in court, successfully demurring to plaintiffs’ claims of fraudulent misrepresentation in multiple products liability and toxic tort cases. She is a member of Ongaro PC’s Product Liability group.
