Michael focuses his practice on defending claims brought under California’s Song-Beverly Act. Michael handles all aspects of pre-trial litigation and trial preparation, including the examination and defense of lay and expert witnesses and law and motion practice. Michael has extensive experience representing clients in both state and federal courts.
Before joining Ongaro PC, Michael advised Fortune 50 clients on matters involving environmental compliance, OSHA compliance, successor liability, takings, corporate governance, and regulating pharmaceuticals and medical professionals. He also represented clients in hundreds of cases involving product and premises liability. Additionally, Michael has experience protecting and enforcing trademarks through litigation and advising clients on state and federal trademark registration protections.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an Executive Articles Editor for Law & Policy in International Business. In 2012, 2013, and 2014, Michael was selected by Super Lawyers to its list of Northern California “Rising Stars.”
